No, there is no requirement to take the YKS exam to study at a university in the Czech Republic. However, universities in the Czech Republic require application and admission requirements according to their own criteria.
In general, a high school diploma is sufficient to apply for undergraduate programs; however, some universities and departments may request a certain GPA or additional exams.
For graduate programs, an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.50 is generally expected.
